ABOUT
Office Municipale d’Habitation de Montréal (OMHM) aims to improve and assure quality of life for the residences of the OMHM tenants, and support and promote tenant-led community initiatives. Support for tenants can come in the form of access to information and resources to address societal problems on a community scale. This can look like youth resources, effort to address food security, criminality or mediation for interpersonal disagreements.
While food is not the primary focus of the OMHM, they do address the presence of food system issues in Lachine. The organization does not directly work with food but does offer support to associated food groups in the Lachine borough. In this way the OMHM contributes to a sustainable food system in Lachine.
